Parantezë: Ky është një shkrim i botuar në Gazeta '55' më 29.4.1999, të cilit, sigurisht që nuk ia gjej dot variantin shqip. Shumë vite më vonë, rreth 2010-2011 kur po punoja me çështjen e Kishës Autoqefale Shqiptare, me disa intervista dhe ribotime të gazetave të 1992 për këtë çështje, m'u desh të merrja edhe prononcimin e Kishës aktuale Ortodokse, e cila duhet thënë se nuk është Autoqefale, sado të mundohen ta paraqesin kështu zyrtarë apo udhëheqësit shpirtëror të saj. Më është dashur të shkoj disa herë dhe në herën e fundit ku takova zëdhënësin e kësaj kishe në Tiranë, i cili më priti në oborr, ndër të tjera më kujtoi se 'Hirësia e tij, Janullatosi nuk merret me deklarata për luftën', se 'ndërhyrja e aleatëve në Kosovë njëfarësoj shkeli dhe të drejtat e njeriut, pasi ndërhyrja ushtarake u bë kundër një shteti tjetër'. Në fakt nuk i kam të regjistruara të gjitha fjalitë që u thanë në atë takim në oborr të selisë, edhe u habita, sepse unë kisha shkuar për diçka tjetër, ndërsa zëdhënësi, që ishte shqiptar, më fliste për Kosovën. Shumë javë më vonë po e diskutonim mes kolegësh këtë fakt, që unë kisha dështuar në marrjen e një qëndrimi të Kishës aktuale për çështjen e Autoqefalisë dhe për statusin e 1929, që kërkonte me patjetër që drejtuesi i Kishës të ishte shqiptar (për këtë në blogun tim është një intervistë me Petrit Bidoshin, njëri nga autoqefalistët e fundit të mbetur në Shqipëri që i thotë gjërat troç dhe tregon historinë e 1992). Kolegu im, më pyeti si me kureshtje se mos kisha shkruar ndonjë shkrim për Kosovën dhe Janullatosin, por i thashë që s'e mbaj mend. Atëherë ai ma kujtoi se kisha shkruar një shkrim që kërkoja një reagim nga Janullatosi kundër krimeve që po u bëheshin shqiptarëve nga serbët. Disi m'u kujtua si shkrim, por kishin kaluar vite dhe kolegu im do kishte qenë shumë i vogël kur u pat botuar te gazeta '55'. Ai shtoi se në ambasadën greke është një listë emrash personash që nuk do u jepej viza për në Greqi, nëse e kërkonin. Në këtë listë ishte edhe ai, edhe pse shqiptar ortodoks, por isha edhe unë pikërisht për këtë shkrimin e bërë shumë vite më parë.
Prandaj dhe nuk çuditem fare për atë që ndodh në Shqipëri, siç ishte rasti i ftesës së Irenejt dhe deklaratave të tij aty. Kjo tregoi edhe njëherë se kush është drejtuesi i vërtetë i atij vendi dhe se kush e kap për hunde një Shqipëri të tërë dhe që nuk çan kokën për këtë klasë politike vagabondësh, që gjoja po bëjnë shtet dhe madje pretendojnë edhe statusin...Dikush duhet ta tregojnë edhe të vërtetën se si u mor edhe leja për ndërtimin pikërisht në atë vend të asaj Kishe dhe Rama (që firmosi këtë leje) s'duhet të bëjë sikur u hidhërua dhe as Berisha sikur u revoltua, sepse të dy i kanë duart e pista me zhytjen e kombit shqiptar në llumin e politikës së tyre antikombëtare.
Why is Janullatos keeping silent on Serb crimes?

The civilised world is powerfully denouncing the Yugoslav
army, the Serb military, paramilitary factors for the crimes
they are committing against the unarmed civilian Albanian
population in Kosova. The daily developments are clearly
pointing out the states that are for or against the war in
Kosova. In this war, the pro-international stand for the
Albanian nation has won and it is unanimous. The same thing
has happened also in Albania. The politics and other
institutions, be then political, state or social have
expressed themselves pro and have given their vote for the
continuation of the war until the complete victory.
However, what strikes is that in the public pronunciations to
denounce the Serb violence and massacre against the Kosova
Albanians Janullatos is missing, the orthodox archbishop of
Albania. Why is Janullatos keeping silent, while here in
Albania, the Serb crimes and genocide are more vivid, because
the Kosova arrivals are testifying about the barbarous crimes
that are happening there and there is plenty of evidence about
this crimes? There is no clear stand of this spiritual leader
that represents the Albanian orthodox and if we like it or not
he represents a respectable institution.
As soon as the conflict in Kosova started, Janullatos made a
strange present. He came out of his fildish temple and sent to
the Academy of Sciences some computers, for which Ylli Popa
thanked him. The academy as an important institution of the
Albanian intellectuals, of the Albanian elite has not come up
with a joint declaration about Kosova. There have been
individual statements, but the institution of the academy has
stated nothing officially so far. The humanitarian activity of
the Albanian Orthodox Church with Janullatos at the head is
closed with a little TV chronicle where the aid of Janullatos
appeared on the screen, which was just a lorry. He was thanked
for this.
The same thing happens even with the anti-Albanian campaigns
that the orthodox clergymen in the world are conducting, while
Janullatos does not make a simple statement or pronunciation
to denounce them.
The archbishop of Cyprus declares that Kosova belongs to
Serbia or on the initiative of the Pafos metropolitan
collects thousands of dollars to assist the Serbs. This aid
is handed to the Serb Patriarchy by archbishop Asinos of
Pafos, Gergios Papahrisostomu. This archbishop during his stay
in Serbia has declared that he was miracled by the resistance
of the Serb stand against the NATO bombardments. He has seen
the ruin in Serbia because of the NATO bombardments. But why
didn't he to see the devastated land in Kosova, and this has
come as a result of the Serbs being blessed by those sort of
priests. Where is Janullatos? This declaration is a
psychological crime against Albanians. This archbishop failed
to mention the Albanian innocent victims, who are subject to a
most monstrous violence. Another representative of the Serb
orthodox, in the diocese of Worcester in America, denounces
the NATO strikes against Serbia and condemns Washington on why
it does not deal with the victims of the other aggressions
such as in Rwanda or with Greek Cyprus (!?). Likewise, also
the visit of Alexis II, who declared the same thing, denounced
NATO, drew the attention on the Serb sufferings, but did not
mention that Serbs were suffering due to their own blame.
This activity speaks for the Serb orthodoxy, which is anti-
Albanian, and it deserves the right answer, which has to be
given by Janullatos. Alexis II and Papahrisostomu have visited
the ruins in Serbia for the only sake of making the above
statements, while Janullatos went in Kukes to escort the Greek
defence minister. Janullatos is a high-ranking clergyman and
his duty is not to escort the Greek officials on their visits
in Albania. If he was in Kukes on a political, military
mission or as a translator this is not important, but after
coming back to Tirana, he did not denounce the Serb massacres
on the Kosova Albanians. He saw with his own eyes the national
pain in the eyes of the Kosovars and kept silent. It seems
that his silence will continue for long. This silence means
his pro-statement to support the Greek government that is very
friendly, more than friendly to the Serb government. He gives
his pro-stand to the anti-Albanian activity of the
representatives of the Orthodox Church. He keeps silent and
agrees to the exterminating policy against the Albanian
nation. However, Janullatos is just an imported man, and he
does not really represent the Albanian orthodox community.

Page, about the declaration of the orthodox Serb priest in the
same place, and which is at the same time an answer for
Janullatos too: They are not applying the lessons of Christ .
